Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a condition with patients describing it as "hurts all over". Chronic headaches, difficulty sleeping and generalized fatigues. It is characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain. It is much more common in women than men. Depression is a very common factor in Fibromyalgia. The cause of Fibromyalgia is unknown. Some characterize this as a disorder of non restorative sleep. The treatment approach must be individualized. In some cases Anti-depressants improve insomnia and pain. Resistant trigger points must be injected. Active lifestyle and aerobic exercise are very important factors in treatment of Fibromyalgia. In some cases patients with Fibromyalgia complain the neck and lower back pain which can be injected successfully with full pain relief. We have a minimum of ten patients who fully recovered from Fibromyalgia.
