Morning Stiffness

Some arthritic conditions like Rheumatoid arthritis present with morning stiffness. Pain during movement in the joints, swelling of the joints, tenderness but the most characteristic symptom is early morning stiffness and involvement of symmetrical joints for example both wrists, both hips, both knees. Cervical spine is mostly involved in these cases at the upper level, pain in the wrists, elbows, shoulders, knees and ankles. Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic disease involving heart, blood vessels and lungs. If flare up is limited to one joint it is reasonably to treat it with an injection into that joint. If flare up involves many joints - treatment with anti- inflammation medication is used to suppress an inflammation. We had several patients with this condition cured and now pain free.
